2018-21 The Guild strategy. this is one of several stages i have seen but not one had adopted the Mission and Discipleship themes for the church. Why after General Assembly has approved it, is theirs and others not using the themes for the Church of Scotland.

The report at point 12 outlines the membership of the guild at over 20 thousand, but it doesn’t give an indication about the age range of members. can the panel outline what the demographics are and how the council respond to these figures.

whats the report about?
The Guild and the National Youth Assembly have been seeking a way to work together, one way was to try and consider how the idea of intergenerational ministry may work for the Church of Scotland.

whats the key point of the report?
Intergenerational ministry is a fruitful key to forming christian community within churches of the Church of Scotland.

Thoughts on the report.
I am clear that intergenerational ministry is one of the keys to the church moving forward as a community. I like everyone being together. But I am also clear that this is only one part of the solution youth work wise, and cannot be the whole answer.
